Challenges:

  • The presents of local residents in the IDPs gathering sites during the verification period, makes it more difficult to reach to the real beneficiaries.
  • The complains, when the registered person does not meet the selection criteria.
  • The difficulty of access to Goz Hemeid IDPs gathering site in nyala Shemal
  • People's need for S/NFIs support is greater than the targeted beneficiaries.

Lesson learned

  • The good coordination between the relevant parties leads to south results.
  • The community sensitization meetings help in the facilitate of the objective of the assessment missions.
  • The active listing to the affected population supports the field team to win the acceptance.
  • The interaction with the affected population brigs the trust among the beneficiaries' who will actively support the team in their task.

Recommendations:

  • People's need for S/NFIs support is greater than the targeted beneficiaries, so we recommend additional NFIs service to fill the gap.
  • The response must include the full NFIs package, including the necessary cooking sets and mosquito nets
